iPE Global Consumer Safety & Accountability Statement

Safety first. Accountability through evidence. iPE opens a full investigation into a reported MFR-02 forged magnesium wheel incident in Latvia and sets out its global consumer commitments.

Release date | July 23, 2026
Kaohsiung, Taiwan
Status | Investigation in progress

KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan — July 23, 2026 — iPE has received a report from Latvia involving an MFR-02 forged magnesium wheel. Online images and discussion have raised understandable concerns among owners, partners and the wider market. Any concern involving wheel integrity and vehicle safety deserves the highest level of attention, and we regret the anxiety this situation has caused.

Brand trust is earned by putting the customer first, preserving evidence, completing a professional investigation and accepting responsibility for the facts established — not by rushing to defend ourselves.

Safety first. Customer first. Facts first. We will not avoid responsibility that belongs to iPE, and we will not assign blame to anyone before the evidence is complete.

Current Response and Confirmed Boundaries

ACTION TAKEN

On July 13, iPE initiated direct contact, evidence preservation, one communication channel, and recovery of the affected parts and required vehicle and incident data.

CONFIRMED CONTEXT

MFR-02; reported installation in 2024; road and track-day use. These facts are context only — not evidence of cause or grounds to pre-assign responsibility.

UNDER REVIEW

Incident and impact conditions, mileage, tire and pressure, vehicle load and suspension, torque, prior damage or service, fracture origin and material condition. Failure analysis is incomplete; no cause has been concluded.

iPE’s Six Public Commitments to Consumers Worldwide

01 Customer safety and direct communication first

Maintain one accountable point of contact with the owner and relevant partners, prioritize the condition of people and vehicle, and support preservation and recovery of the affected wheel and related components.

02 A complete, traceable technical investigation

Conduct a cross-functional engineering, quality, sales and management review; verify serial number, production batch, process and inspection records; and perform appropriate dimensional, non-destructive, fracture, material and load-condition analysis. A qualified independent third party will be engaged where needed.

03 Certification is a foundation, not a shield

MFR-02 carries TÜV NORD and SAE certifications. Those certifications reflect the product’s validation foundation; they do not replace a case-specific failure investigation and will not be used to dismiss consumer concerns.

04 Accept full responsibility where the evidence places it

If evidence establishes responsibility within iPE-controlled design, material, manufacturing, quality or management processes, iPE will provide appropriate product disposition and fair remedy in accordance with the facts, applicable law and warranty rights. The investigation does not reduce any statutory or warranty rights.

05 Act immediately if a broader risk is identified

If the investigation indicates a batch-related or systemic risk, iPE will initiate batch traceability, expanded inspection and design, process or quality corrections, and will take risk-appropriate measures such as a shipment hold, inspection notice, repair, replacement, market withdrawal or recall.

06 Update transparently without concealment or speculation

At material investigation milestones, iPE will communicate confirmed facts, unresolved questions and next actions. If new evidence changes an earlier assessment, we will correct it openly. Personal information and unverified claims will be protected rather than amplified.

Safety Guidance for MFR-02 Owners Worldwide

A single reported incident is not sufficient engineering evidence of a systemic risk across all MFR-02 wheels. iPE will nevertheless keep every reasonable risk under review. Owners should take these precautions:

  • For abnormal vibration, persistent pressure loss, a visible crack, deformation, fastener or center-lock concern, or major pothole, curb or accident impact: stop using the affected wheel and obtain a professional inspection before road or track use.
  • Preserve a suspected failed wheel, tire and related parts as found. Do not weld, grind, repair or clean a fracture surface before evidence is secured.
  • Contact iPE Support with the wheel serial number, vehicle, tire, installation date, mileage and photographs so the case can be traced.

Update Policy

iPE will update the market after the components and required information are secured and the first-stage physical examination is complete. If an urgent risk is identified earlier, iPE will immediately notify affected customers and take necessary action rather than wait for the final report.

“Safety is not a marketing phrase; it is a responsibility a brand must carry. We will not reach a conclusion before the facts are clear or avoid responsibility that belongs to iPE. We will rely on complete evidence, support the customer through concrete action, and turn every incident into product and management improvement.”
