REDEFINED

Mission

Our mission at iPE is to unleash the potential of every car while enhancing customers’ driving experience; ensuring excellence and redefining performance.

With over 20 years of industry experience, iPE manufactures high-caliber Valvetronic exhausts for supercars. iPE endlessly challenges the status quo through innovative technology, impeccable craftsmanship, and high-grade aerospace materials. iPE Exhaust systems are all handcrafted to perfection, and undergo a series of tests before release, ensuring ultimate precision and performance.

Through ensuring excellence and redefining performance, our values guide the way our organization operates, how we work with partners, how we develop our products, and how we interact with our customers.

iPE History

iPE or commonly known as Innotech Performance Exhaust was founded in 1998 by Mr.Gary Chien.

iPE was initially founded as Jim Header Industrial Company, by cooperating with a famous Japanese firm. In 1998, the first products debuted at the 1998 Tokyo Expo, which received great reviews and put Jim Header Industrial Company on the map.

In 2002, Jim Header Industrial was reintroduced as Jim Technologies Inc. With the product debut at Las Vegas Car Expo, Jim Technologies Inc., impressed industry partners with exceptional quality and craftsmanship; which led to numerous American exhaust companies looking for OEM cooperation.

In 2010, Gary branched out from previous business partners and created his brand – iPE. iPE or more commonly known as Innotech Performance Exhaust was created with the mission to unleash the potential of every car and provide our customers with an unforgettable driving experience. Today, iPE develops after-market supercar exhaust systems for a variety of automotive brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren, etc.

iPE Valvetronic Exhaust System

Exhaust valves have been widely used by high-end supercar manufacturers. When valves are closed, exhaust gas is directed to a pipe with a smaller diameter or single exit. As a result, it keeps a low-end torque maintain backpressure. While the engine revs over a certain RPM, the valves will open, providing a faster and smoother path for the exhaust gas to exit the pipes and create smoother airflow.

iPE Valvetronic exhaust systems are operated by either a remote control module or an OBDII gesture sensor. It features three modes: on, off, and auto.

ON: Valves are fully open for maximum airflow allowing for better performance and increased sound volume with an astonishing and clean tone.

OFF: Valves are closed, reducing exhaust volume. Allowing a comfortable drive.

AUTO: The system detects the fuel pedal signal and adjusts the valve movement accordingly and automatically for a dynamic drive.

Research & Development

With over 20 years of industry experience, iPE exhaust systems are handcrafted and utilize high-grade aerospace (T304 Stainless Steel and Grade 1 Titanium) materials.

When developing new exhaust systems, our R&D team begins with creating a prototype; followed by a series of standardized tests to ensure premium quality and ultimate precision.

Pipe Diameter

Pipe diameter plays a critical role in the quality and performance of an exhaust system. Theoretically, larger pipe diameters will increase horsepower performance at higher RPMs. However, a wider diameter is not always better. As overly large diameters may create turbulence and exhaust outflow issues, resulting in losing low-end torque

Appropriate pipe diameter allows for more efficient exhaust flow, which can result in increased horsepower at high RPM, and increased torque at low RPM. As a result, iPE engineers exhaust systems for each vehicle, with its specific exhaust diameter, to ensure ultimate precision and maximum performance.

An engineer is using the TIG technique

TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding technique:

TIG welding is the welding process that uses electricity to melt and join pieces of metal. It was invented back in the 1940s and was first used in the aerospace industry. One of the largest advantages of TIG welding is that it’s suitable for joining very thin materials that other welding techniques might not be able to achieve.

TIG welding produces a stronger, cleaner, and impeccable weld on thin materials. Our welders have manual control over the filler metal and heat output, meaning less disruption on surrounding metal. Most importantly, iPE’s professional welders have years of back-purging experience, producing state of the art exhaust systems.

Catalytic converter:

The catalytic converter is used to clean the exhaust gas by catalyzing a redox reaction to tone down exhaust volume and eliminate droning inside the cabin.

However, it also restricts the airflow coming out from the exhaust, which then results in containing heat. By reducing the material density inside the catalytic converter or removing the cats makes a huge difference from a performance perspective. Due to most vehicles having O2 sensors from the factory plugged into the catalytic converter, it is most likely to require an ECU tune to prevent CEL (Check Engine Light).
